Everybody had at least one.

I recently spoke to a few family members who wanted to start a family tree on their extended side of the family, but didn’t know where to start. As I mentioned in a previous post, with the really good webapps out there, all you have to do is enter your information and go from there. And just remember, everybody has at least one momma and one daddy. We may not know whether they’re biological or not, but everybody has one. As you can tell by our family tree we don’t have all the info, but somebody does, but hopefully 20 years from now, our children won’t have to wonder, because they’ll be able to “google” it.

So log into either Ancestry.com or geni.com and get started today. You work on your branch of the tree and sooner or later you’ll run into a forrest of trees that will help you fill in your missing gaps.

OBITUARIES!! YAY!!

Obituaries are a wealth of information and vital to family research. Along with bible record entries, this is one of the best sources of information. On the other hand however, there is always that obituary that the family fought over on who to include and not to include in the obituary just before the funeral, so don’t go thinking that its a lock.

If you have any obituaries, please send us a copy. You can either mail a copy, fax it or scan a copy in and email it to chrisechols@gmail.com.

If you choose to mail it, address it to P.O. Box 273, Brunswick, GA 31525.
Or fax it to
